In the light of Jesus, we learn to shine
Mrs Kearn runs Craft Club
Key Stage 2 designed and made memory boxes in our after-school craft club. They brought in a special picture or pictures from home and used a range of resources such as buttons, card, felt and stickers. They also had access to two Sizzix craft machines which meant they could cut out additional elements such as the felts cats and dogs. They all worked really hard and hopefully this will help to keep those treasured memories forever.
Year 6 designed and sewed their own place mat in craft club this term. They were very detailed and a lot of hard work went into the finished pieces - well done.
Year 3/4 made a ping pong target game
We have been very busy in craft club this term. We painted our own plaster of Paris names. Then we created a piece of art using masking tape to create a pattern. Finally we made giant peg animals - a pig, a caterpillar and a crocodile / dinosaur / frog!!
This term in craft club we painted and put together wooden houses. It was very fiddly and there were a lot of instructions to follow to put them together but the finished result was brilliant - well done craft clubbers.
These are the 5/6 craft club Summer term designs. The children had to papercut the design which needed a lot of skill in terms of patience, accuracy and manual dexterity. Their perseverance and determination was remarkable- a fantastic end to the year.
This is the work from the year 2,3 & 4 craft club.
They had to design and paint a ceramic Terramundi pot and then cover a storage crate using napkins and Modpodge.
They had to sew an animal felt coaster with a 3D head of their choice. They then had to decorate a porcelain mug to go with it.
This is Year 2 / 3 and 4 and they had to design and make their own linear mobile. There was a lot of sewing involved and they all did brilliantly.
This term Years 2 and 3 have been designing and making their own name banners or bunting. They had to include their name but could add additional items to their banners of their own choice. We did have a wide range of additions from dogs and cats to flowers, footballs and stars and even a llama!! They could choose their own colour scheme also. The finished items were brilliant and the children should be very proud - there was a lot of sewing. I hope they have lots of fun choosing somewhere to hang them. The additions were cut out using dies and the Cricut Big Shot.
Year 5/6 made nail art hearts.
Glove puppets!
We painted our names, made masking tape painted art work, did some mindfulness colouring and made giant lolly stick pencil pots this half term.
In the run up to Christmas, the children designed and produced a wreath.
The remit this term was to design and make a 3D, deep box frame Christmas themed picture. They all designed the picture first on paper then had to use the varied resources to reproduce it. We were all very impressed!
Year 5/6 craft club designed cushion covers, produced all the pieces and sew them on all on independently.
Looking good I think you will agree!
