Robins Class made bird treats and watched the birds
Robins Class had fun making a variety of treats for the birds a week before our bird watch and we placed them all around our school allotment, the willow arch was a popular place to hang them.
The following week, Otters, Hedgehogs and Badgers Class took turns to carefully watch the birds... and they saw a huge variety! Great tits, blue tits, blackbirds, robins, pigeons and seagulls.
They also enjoyed learning some common bird songs and calls; Great tit - teacher, teacher. Wood Pigeon - I DON'T want to go, I DON'T want to go. Magpie - Ker-chock. Collared Dove - I love you, I love you. Robin - twiddle-oo twiddle-eedee. Blue tit - tsee tsee tsee.
