Welcome to

Elmsett C of E Primary School

STEM Challenge

Melissa, Katie, Ollie and Oliver went to Suffolk One on 3rd July to take part in a STEM competition with 8 other schools. They took part in a  wide range of activities in applied sciences,  forensics, engineering and maths that were very tricky but very enjoyable.

The children had a fantastic day - made even better by the fact that they won the competition!

Well done to them all and many thanks to Becky at Suffolk One for such a fantastic day.

Here is Oliver's account of the day:

On Monday 3rd July, Katie, Oliver, Melissa and Ollie went to a STEm Challenge at Suffolk One. The first challenge was science; we had to figure out who killed James Bond. We studied whose vomit was, whose finger-prints and foot-prints they were and what the salt substance was. Then we went to the engineering part where we built a bridge and car and we had to blow the car up the ramp and over the bridge! Then we did maths and the last thing was physics where we made parachutes and timed them. Finally it came to the results: Elmsett came 1st!!!
